For those of you who have been waiting a few weeks for iOS4, it’s here finally! I’m so happy that Apple didn’t tell us about iOS4 months ago because the wait would have killed me! For those of you who don’t know anything about it.. where have you been? Get some internet into that cave you’ve been living it!
So here’s what’s new:
- Multitasking: Finally you can run apps in the background while you check your email or browse the internet for some information.
- Improved HTML 5 video support
- Bluetooth Keyboard Support
- iBooks for the iPhone and iPod Touch
- New Email functionality: iOS 4 supports threading messages and a unified inbox
- Folders: You can create folders by dragging an app and dropping it on top of another app
- Custom Playlists: you can create your own playlists right on your iPhone or iPod
- Tap to Focus Video: just like with your camera, you can now tap to focus when recording a video on your iPhone
- 5x Digital Zoom
- Home Screen Wallpaper: finally the feature I originally thought we had but quickly figured out it was only on the locked screen.. you can put a picture behind your apps (although if your screen is full like mine, it will be difficult to see)
- Spell Chekcing… I mean Spell Checking
This update is available for the iPhone 3 / 3G / 3GS / 4, iPod Touch 2nd /3rd Generation.
