A magical and revolutionary product at an unbelievable price.
Coming April 3, 2010
The moment that everyone has been waiting for has finally come. The topic that has been on everyone’s minds has finally been brought to reality. On April 3, 2010 Apple will be releasing it’s latest marvel, the iPad Tablet! It’s the hottest eBook Handheld Reader yet!
Apple isn’t the first to release a tablet computer, but then again Apple wasn’t the first to release the mp3 player or the cell phone and look what they’ve done with those! Apple has a nack for taking our everyday devices and creating something revolutionary and wonderful with them.
But will Apple do it again? Can Apple take an existing product like the tablet computer and make it better than all the rest out there?
My guess? Most definitely. The iPad hasn’t even been released yet and they already have a head start with over 150,000 apps (for the iPhone, which can be used on the iPad). They also claim to be “The best way to experience the web, email, photos, and video. Hands down.” I don’t doubt it.
So what are we getting? The iPad has a lot of the same features we’ve grown to love (and need) in the iPhone and iPod Touch, such as: Safari internet browser, Mail, Photos, Videos, YouTube, iPod, iTunes, App Store, Maps, Notes, Calendar, and Contacts. Since this is a tablet computer, they’ve added a few new toys like the iBook app. It’s a great new way to read and buy books. It’s a bookshelf that shows all your books displayed. You just click the book you want to read and start reading. The high-resolution, LED-backlit screen displays everything in sharp, rich color, so it’s easy to read, even in low light. The iPad also has an unbelievable battery life of up to 10 hours so your reading time won’t get cut short on a long trip.
The iPad will come in three different storage configurations (16gb, 32gb and 64gb) with the option for either Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + 3G. You can expect the basic model to be the 16gb with only Wi-Fi, costing $499. On the opposite side we have the top model being a 64gb with Wi-Fi + 3G costing a “still very affordable” $829. Unlike most other manufacturers, Apple believes in making their products affordable from day 1 rather than jacking the price up and reducing it as time goes on.
